RRB Section Controller Marks Calculator: Exact −⅓ Marking
Raw marks = correct answers − (incorrect answers ÷ 3). Keep the full fraction while calculating and round only the final display. Using −0.33 repeatedly can overstate the score. This calculation uses the provisional key in your response sheet; official marks may change after accepted objections or RRB processing.
| Response | Marks |
|---|---|
| Correct answer | +1 |
| Incorrect answer | −⅓ |
| Not attempted | 0 |
| Correct | Wrong | Unattempted | Calculation | Raw score |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 82 | 18 | 0 | 82 − 18/3 | 76.00 / 100 |
| 70 | 20 | 10 | 70 − 20/3 | 63.33 / 100 (rounded) |

Section Controller Rank Predictor: Read the Participant Sample
A score comparison can help you understand your standing among available QMaths submissions. Check the detected exam, CEN cycle, category and selected RRB before interpreting a result. An incorrect or unidentified exam must not be used as a Section Controller 2026 comparison.
| Measure | What it means | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Raw score | Marks calculated from your recorded responses and the available answer key | Not the official normalized score |
| Overall / category comparison | Your position in the corresponding available participant sample | Not total exam attendance or an official All India Rank |
| RRB-wise comparison | Available submissions associated with the recruitment board you selected | Not an official combined RRB/category merit list |
| Final selection merit | RRB’s merit after qualifying CBAT, with 70% CBT and 30% CBAT weightage | Cannot be derived from CBT raw marks alone |
For multiple-shift CBTs, RRB uses normalization. The CEN states that normalized CBT scores are used for CBAT shortlisting. This page does not supply an official normalization formula, predict a guaranteed cutoff or replace RRB results.
Choose Your Applied RRB: 21 Recruitment Boards
Select the recruitment board chosen in your CEN 03/2026 Section Controller application. Use the applied RRB, rather than your home state, examination city or the location of a preferred Railway posting. A recruitment board and a Railway operating zone are different classifications.
| No. | RRB recruitment board |
|---|---|
| 1 | Ahmedabad |
| 2 | Ajmer |
| 3 | Bengaluru |
| 4 | Bhopal |
| 5 | Bhubaneswar |
| 6 | Bilaspur |
| 7 | Chandigarh |
| 8 | Chennai |
| 9 | Gorakhpur |
| 10 | Guwahati |
| 11 | Jammu–Srinagar |
| 12 | Kolkata |

| 15 | Muzaffarpur |
| 16 | Patna |
| 17 | Prayagraj |
| 18 | Ranchi |
| 19 | Secunderabad |
| 20 | Siliguri |
| 21 | Thiruvananthapuram |
The list identifies the 21 boards in the RRB system; it does not imply a notified Section Controller vacancy at every board. Check Annexure B for actual vacancies. Corrigendum 1 corrects the Railway shown against RRB Bhubaneswar from ECR to ECoR.
Minimum Qualifying Marks and the Section Controller Cutoff
| Community | Minimum CBT qualifying percentage |
|---|---|
| UR | 40% |
| EWS | 40% |
| OBC-NCL | 30% |
| SC | 30% |
| ST | 25% |
These are eligibility thresholds, not predicted selection cutoffs. They also apply to Ex-servicemen according to community. The CEN mentions a two-mark PwBD relaxation only in the stated shortage circumstances against reserved PwBD vacancies; this CEN lists no PwBD-reserved vacancy. Actual shortlisting depends on official merit, community, applied RRB, vacancies and applicable rules.
Source: detailed CEN, printed page 27. Do not apply previous-cycle CEN 04/2025 cutoffs as this cycle’s confirmed cutoff.
After the CBT: CBAT, Document Verification and Medical
| Stage / rule | Official CEN requirement |
|---|---|
| CBAT shortlist | Eight times the vacancies from each community, based on CBT performance, subject to the CEN |
| CBAT qualification | Minimum T-score 42 in each test battery; applicable to all categories with no relaxation |
| CBAT language and marking | English and Hindi only; no negative marking in CBAT |
| Merit after qualifying CBAT | 70% CBT + 30% CBAT; CBT raw marks alone cannot determine this merit |
| Document Verification | Candidates equal to the vacancies, as per official merit and Railway options |
| Medical requirements | A-2 standard. Follow the CEN and FAQ requirements for vision and self-screening medical documentation on CBAT day. |
Shortlisted candidates must follow the prescribed vision-certificate rules. Official FAQ 71 also explains the generated self-screening medical report, signed by a General Physician and Eye Specialist and issued by a Central/State Government Hospital or Medical College, for submission on CBAT day. Check all applicable documents; the vision certificate alone is not a substitute for the full prescribed requirements.
