Eligibility
Age Limit (as on 01.07.2026)
20 to 33 years. Date of birth between 02.07.1993 and 01.07.2006 for UR/EWS (both inclusive). SC/ST/OBC-NCL upper limits include community age relaxation.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must already hold a University Degree (or equivalent) from a recognized Board / University / Institute as on the closing date (14.08.2026). Those awaiting final results are not eligible.
Nationality
Indian citizen, or a subject of Nepal / Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries with intention of permanently settling in India (certificate of eligibility required where applicable).

Selection Process
1Single-stage CBT
100 questions, 120 min, 1/3 negative marking. Normalised across shifts.
2CBAT
8x vacancies (community-wise) shortlisted from CBT. Aptitude test, English/Hindi only.
3Document Verification
1:1 of vacancies (RRB-wise) on combined merit.
4Medical Examination
A-2 medical fitness before appointment.
- Merit: drawn only for CBAT-qualified candidates - 70% weightage to CBT + 30% weightage to CBAT.
- CBAT qualifying: minimum T-Score of 42 in each test battery - applicable to all categories, no relaxation. No negative marking in CBAT.
- Vision Certificate (Annexure VI / VI-A) in original is required at the CBAT, failing which the candidate is not permitted to appear.
- Tie-break: older candidate placed higher; if same age, alphabetical order of given name.

Medium of CBT: available in 15 languages - English, Hindi and 13 regional languages (Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu). CBAT is in English and Hindi only.

Data Analysis & Interpretation - multi-source data from text, tables, charts, graphs, pie charts, Venn diagrams; Data Sufficiency; Data Arrangement.
Logical CapabilityLogical Reasoning - Binary Logic, Syllogism, Clocks & Calendars, Assumptions, Blood Relations, Family Tree, logic-based puzzles. Reading Comprehension - passages in English on history, society, literature, science, environment, technology and culture; main idea, supporting idea, application, logical structure and style.
Mental ReasoningAnalogy - identifying and applying relationships; Series Completion - number patterns and next term; Coding-Decoding; Ranking and Arrangement based problems.
CBAT (Aptitude Test)Conducted by RDSO psychology-based batteries. Candidates must qualify each test battery (min T-Score 42). Reference: RDSO -> Verticals -> Traffic and Psychology -> Psychology - Candidate’s Corner (rdso.indianrailways.gov.in).
How to Apply
- Create an Account on the official RRB website / rrbapply.gov.in. Candidates who already created an account for CENs of 2024/2025/2026 must reuse the same credentials.
- Authenticate identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar during account creation for a smoother process.
- Fill the application and choose only one RRB and the zone options as per eligibility. The chosen RRB cannot be changed later.
- Upload a live photo, signature and mandatory scanned documents as per specifications.
- Pay the fee online and submit before 23:59 hrs on 14 August 2026.
