What is the SSC MTS 2025 exam pattern and total marks?
The SSC MTS 2025 CBE has two 45-minute sessions held on the same day, with 90 questions for 270 marks. Session-I has Numerical & Mathematical Ability (20 Q) and Reasoning Ability & Problem Solving (20 Q). Session-II has General Awareness (25 Q) and English Language & Comprehension (25 Q). Each question carries 3 marks.
Is there negative marking in SSC MTS 2025?
Yes, but only in Session-II. There is NO negative marking in Session-I (Numerical & Reasoning). In Session-II (General Awareness & English), 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. There is no penalty for un-attempted questions. The QMaths calculator applies this session-wise rule automatically.
When was the SSC MTS 2025 exam conducted?
The SSC MTS & Havaldar 2025 Computer-Based Examination was conducted from 4 February 2026 to 20 February 2026 at centres across the country. The tentative answer key was released on 3 March 2026, with the objection window open from 3 March to 6 March 2026.
When will the SSC MTS 2025 result be declared?

What is the selection process for SSC MTS and Havaldar?
For MTS posts, selection is based on the Computer-Based Examination (CBE) alone, followed by Document Verification. For Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) posts, shortlisted candidates must additionally clear a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).
