RRB Technician Grade 1 & Grade 3 Marks Calculator: +1 and −⅓
Raw score = Correct answers − (Wrong answers ÷ 3)
A wrong answer loses exactly one-third of a mark. Unattempted questions score zero. Keep the fraction through the calculation and round only the displayed total.
| Correct | Wrong | Unattempted | Calculation | Raw marks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 80 | 12 | 8 | 80 − 12/3 | 76.00 / 100 |
| 70 | 20 | 10 | 70 − 20/3 | 63.33 / 100 |
Review your correct, wrong and unanswered counts against the official response sheet. Any later key correction or special treatment of questions is governed by the relevant RRB notice, not by this standard worked example.
RRB Technician Grade 1 & Grade 3 Rank Predictor
| Result | What it means |
|---|---|
| Overall comparison | Position among the relevant exam-cycle scores available on QMaths. |
| Category comparison | Position within the available scores in your selected category. |
| RRB-wise comparison | Position within the available scores for your selected recruitment board. |
| Participant total | The denominator shown for that comparison pool; it is not total examination attendance. |
Grade 1 Signal and Grade 3 have separate comparison pools. The response sheet determines the grade and cycle; check the detected exam name in the result. Enter the RRB you applied to. Your home state, exam centre and Railway zone do not determine your applied board. RRB-wise and category cards are separate comparisons, not a combined official board/category rank.
Comparison ranks can change as submissions arrive. There is no meaningful current-cycle rank until enough valid response sheets are available. RRB decides final merit using its official rules, normalization, post/category vacancies, documents and medical fitness.

Select Your Applied RRB: All 21 Recruitment Boards
Select the same board as your application. These are recruitment boards, rather than a list of Indian Railway zones.
| RRB | RRB | RRB |
|---|---|---|
| Ahmedabad | Ajmer | Bengaluru (Bangalore) |
| Bhopal | Bhubaneswar | Bilaspur |
| Chandigarh | Chennai | Gorakhpur |
| Guwahati | Jammu and Srinagar | Kolkata |
| Malda | Mumbai | Muzaffarpur |
| Patna | Prayagraj | Ranchi |
| Secunderabad | Siliguri | Thiruvananthapuram |
For example, a candidate who applied to RRB Patna selects Patna even if their CBT centre was in another state. Use the same board when reviewing your RRB-wise participant rank.

Calculating marks on QMaths does not lodge an objection. Save a personal copy of your response sheet before its viewing window closes.
Minimum Qualifying Marks, Normalization and Cut Off
| Category | Minimum qualifying percentage in CEN |
|---|---|
| UR / EWS | 40% |
| OBC-NCL / SC | 30% |
| ST | 25% |
A possible two-mark PwBD relaxation applies if there is a shortage as specified in the CEN. These are minimum eligibility thresholds, not forecast selection cut-offs. The official cut-off may differ by RRB, category and post.
The CEN states that marks from multiple shifts will be normalized. A raw response-sheet score is not the official normalized score. No numerical selection probability or unsupported cut-off band is promised here.
