RRB groups Tech-III posts into 29 trade categories under CEN 02/2025 — each with its own merit list. Cat 1 (Signal) is the only Pay Level 5 post and is covered on a separate Tech Grade I page. Tech-III posts (Cat 2-30) are Pay Level 2 (₹19,900).

📌 What's next for shortlisted candidates?
- Document Verification (DV): Carry all original certificates. The DV process verifies your educational qualifications (12th / qualifying), age proof, category certificate, and other claims made during application.
- Medical Examination: Pass the medical fitness test as per the standard for your post (A-3, B-1, B-2, C-1 etc. — refer Para 3.0 of CEN 02/2025).
- Final Selection: Subject to passing DV + Medical, your name will appear in the final panel. Final result is a separate notification.
- Documents required: 10th certificate, ITI certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in your trade, photo ID, age-proof, category certificate (if claimed), PwBD certificate (if applicable), recent passport photographs.
- Travel: SC/ST candidates can avail Free Travel Pass for DV. Check your RRB's notice.

CEN 02/2025 is a single notification covering both Technician Grade I Signal and all Technician Grade III trades. This page is for Tech Grade III only; see the linked Tech Grade I page for Signal cutoffs.
Recruitment process — full stages
- Single-stage CBT (Computer Based Test) — held 06, 09 and 10 March 2026

There is no 2nd Stage CBT and no Skill Test for Tech Grade III — selection is purely based on CBT score, normalisation across shifts, community + trade reservation, and medical standard.
Why are different RRBs declaring on different days?
Each RRB processes its own merit list independently. Mumbai released on 29 May 2026 first; other RRBs typically follow over the next 1-2 weeks. This page auto-updates as each RRB publishes its result and cutoff PDFs — no need to refresh manually beyond once a day.
Cutoff column meanings (UR / SC / ST / OBC / EWS / ESM / PwBD)
- UR — Unreserved (General)
- SC — Scheduled Caste
- ST — Scheduled Tribe
- OBC — Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer)
- EWS — Economically Weaker Section
- ESM / Ex-SM — Ex-Servicemen
- R-VI / R-HI / R-LD / R-OD / R-MD — Regular PwBD (Visual / Hearing / Locomotor / Other / Multiple Disabilities)
- B-VI / B-HI / B-LD / B-OD / B-MD — Backlog PwBD
Negative marking & normalization
Negative marking applies in CBT-1 and CBT-2 (1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer). When CBTs are conducted in multiple sessions, marks are normalized using the standard normalization formula. The values you see in the cutoff tables are normalized marks, not raw marks.
Why does one RRB show multiple Railway Zones (e.g., ECR + SER for Ranchi)?
Each Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) serves multiple Zonal Railways. For example, RRB Ranchi recruits for both East Central Railway (ECR) and South Eastern Railway (SER); RRB Kolkata for Eastern Railway (ER) and SER; RRB Bilaspur for South East Central Railway (SECR) and Central Railway (CR). The cutoff table shows each Railway Zone separately because vacancies and merit lists are zone-specific.
Difference between Tech Grade I Signal and Tech Grade III
Both posts come from the same notification CEN 02/2025. Tech Grade I Signal is a single Pay Level 5 post (Cat 1, 183 vacancies, age 18-33). Tech Grade III covers 29 different trades (Cat 2-30, 6,055 vacancies, Pay Level 2, age 18-30). Eligibility: 10th + ITI in respective trade (or equivalent) for Tech-III; 10th + ITI in S&T-specific trade for Tech-I. CBT pattern and syllabus differ slightly.
