What the RRB notice says (CEN 09/2025 CBT schedule)
- Tentative exam schedule: the single-stage Computer Based Test (CBT) for Level-1 posts under CEN 09/2025 is scheduled from 3 August 2026 to 21 August 2026.
- Exam City & Date link: the link to view your exam city & date, and to download the Travel Authority for SC/ST candidates, goes live ~10 days before the exam date on all RRBs' official websites.
- e-Call letter: download of e-Call letters (admit cards) starts ~4 days before the exam date mentioned in your Exam City & Date intimation.
- Aadhaar biometric: Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication is done at the centre before entry. Carry your original Aadhaar (or e-verified Aadhaar printout). Authenticate via rrbapply.gov.in if not already done, and keep your Aadhaar in unlocked condition in UIDAI before the exam.
- Refer only to official RRB websites for updates. Beware of touts, RRB selection is purely on CBT merit.

RRB Group D (Level-1) exam pattern: single-stage CBT
Level-1 recruitment uses a single Computer Based Test, followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification and Medical Examination.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & selection stages

PET is qualifying in nature. Selection stages: CBT → PET → Document Verification → Medical Examination. CCAA, Ex-Servicemen and PwBD candidates are exempted from PET.
