Normalised cut-off marks for shortlisting to Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
This is the CBT Result + shortlist for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) along with the normalised cut-off marks — it is not the final selection list. Candidates whose 16-digit roll numbers appear in the result PDF are provisionally shortlisted for PET (called at up to 3× the community-wise vacancies on CBT merit). Final selection follows PET → Document Verification → Medical Examination.
Results are released rolling, RRB-by-RRB. This page auto-updates as each RRB / RRC publishes its Result and Cut-Off PDFs.
The figures are normalised marks (out of 100), not raw marks — Group D CBT is held in many shifts, so scores are normalised before merit listing.
Based on the 16 RRB(s) that have declared so far, here is the live range of normalised cut-off marks (out of 100) — a realistic "safe score" guide for RRB Group D 2026. Your zone's exact cut-off is in its card above.
| Category | Lowest cut-off | Highest cut-off | Average |
|---|---|---|---|
| UR | 70.29 | 80.23 | 76.35 |
| SC | 58.94 | 73.86 | 68.75 |
| ST | 58.19 | 71.53 | 63.60 |
| OBC | 64.87 | 78.28 | 74.56 |
| EWS | 60.40 | 75.19 | 70.13 |
Ranges are computed live from declared RRB results and update automatically as more zones publish. Cut-offs vary by zone with vacancies, candidates and shift difficulty (normalised).

Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates with a scribe). Negative marking: 1/3 mark per wrong answer. Minimum qualifying: UR/EWS 40%, OBC-NCL/SC/ST 30% (relaxable by 2 marks for PwBD where reserved vacancies exist).
| Candidate | Weight-carrying | Running |
|---|---|---|
| Male | Carry 35 kg for 100 m in 2 min (one chance, without putting the weight down) | Run 1000 m in 4 min 15 sec (one chance) |
| Female | Carry 20 kg for 100 m in 2 min (one chance) | Run 1000 m in 5 min 40 sec (one chance) |
PET is qualifying in nature. Transgender candidates follow relaxed (Female-equivalent) standards. CCAA, Ex-Servicemen and PwBD candidates are exempted from PET.
Group D CBT is conducted in many sessions, so raw scores are normalised. Candidates are then shortlisted Railway/RRC-wise for PET at up to 3× the community-wise vacancies based on normalised CBT merit. The cut-off you see is the lowest normalised mark that made the PET shortlist for each community. After PET, shortlisting for Document Verification is done at 1:1 of vacancies.
Each RRB / RRC processes its own merit list independently, so results are published on a rolling basis over several days. This page auto-updates as each RRB releases its Result and Cut-Off PDFs — no need to refresh manually beyond once a day.
₹500 for General/OBC/EWS (₹400 refunded on appearing in CBT, net ₹100); ₹250 for SC/ST/PwBD/Female/Transgender/Ex-Servicemen/Minority/EBC (fully refunded on appearing in CBT). Refund is credited after the CBT, less bank charges.
Open your RRB / RRC's official result PDF (linked on each RRB card above once published) and press Ctrl + F (or use "Find on page" on mobile) to search your 16-digit roll number. If your roll number appears, you are provisionally shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The roll numbers in the PDF are listed in ascending order, not in merit order — being early or late in the list does not indicate your rank.
The shortlist PDF lists qualified roll numbers in ascending order, not in order of marks. Your actual position is decided by your normalised CBT marks against the community cut-off. The individual score card (marks, normalised score, category rank) is released separately on the RRB portal / DigiAlm link — this result only tells you whether you cleared the PET cut-off.
Level-1 posts carry an initial basic pay of ₹18,000 per month in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, plus Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA as per city class), Transport Allowance and other Railway allowances. In-hand salary typically works out to roughly ₹22,000–₹28,000 depending on the posting city, apart from Railway passes and other benefits.
Carry the originals plus self-attested photocopies of: 10th / Matriculation certificate (date-of-birth proof), ITI / NAC certificate (if qualification claimed), caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC-NCL (latest format), EWS Income & Asset certificate, PwBD certificate (if applicable), Ex-Servicemen discharge documents (if applicable), recent passport photographs, and a valid photo ID (Aadhaar / PAN / Passport / Driving Licence). Any mismatch between your online application and originals can lead to rejection.
Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAA) and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from the Physical Efficiency Test. PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates are also exempted from PET and are instead assessed through the PwBD medical examination as per IRMM norms. All other candidates must clear the PET, which is qualifying in nature.
PET is qualifying only (it does not add to your marks). If you fail the PET, you are not considered further for that recruitment. Candidates who qualify the PET are then shortlisted for Document Verification at 1:1 of the vacancies, strictly on CBT normalised merit. So both clearing the CBT cut-off and qualifying the PET are necessary to move ahead.
No. This is the CBT result with the shortlist for PET and the normalised cut-off marks. The final result / panel is published only after PET → Document Verification → Medical Examination are completed. Empanelment and appointment letters follow the final result, which is a separate notification for each RRB / RRC.
RRB Group D CBT is held across many days and shifts on different question papers. To be fair to candidates who got tougher shifts, raw scores are converted to normalised marks using the Railway's standard normalisation formula. The merit list and every cut-off you see on this page are based on normalised marks, so your normalised score (not raw score) decides selection.
