- DA 60% of basic from 01.01.2026 (Department of Expenditure order dated 22.04.2026); it is revised twice a year. HRA 30/20/10% for X/Y/Z cities (not paid if railway quarters are allotted). Transport Allowance Rs 3,600 (higher-TPTA cities) or Rs 1,800 elsewhere, plus DA.
- Deductions include the employee pension contribution (10% of basic + DA under NPS) and income tax as applicable, so in-hand pay is lower than gross.
RRB NTPC Graduate Job Profile by Post
- Goods Train Manager (Level 5, 2,750 posts): the post earlier known as Goods Guard. In charge of a goods train on the run - train safety, brake-van duties and communication with the loco pilot and stations. Running staff, so shift and outstation duty are part of the job. Medical A-2; LASIK candidates are not eligible.
- Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor (Level 6, 127 posts): the only Level 6 post in this CEN. Supervises commercial work such as ticket checking, booking and reservation, and passenger services. Medical B-2.
- Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist (Level 5, 300 posts): accounts and bill work in Railway accounts offices. No typing test before selection; typing proficiency is assessed after joining. Medical C-2.
- Senior Clerk cum Typist (Level 5, 371 posts): office and establishment clerical work with typing, which is assessed after joining. Medical C-2.

18 to 33 years for all four posts. Date of birth not after 01.01.2009, and not earlier than 02.01.1994 (UR/EWS), 02.01.1991 (OBC-NCL) or 02.01.1989 (SC/ST) - both dates inclusive.

- No Typing Skill Test this time - the CBTST for Senior Clerk cum Typist and Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist has been dispensed with for CEN 06/2026; typing proficiency is assessed after joining and may affect confirmation/promotion.
- No Aptitude Test (CBAT) - none of the four posts requires it.
- Candidates shortlisted for CBT 2 under OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD/ExSM benefits continue to be considered only against those categories.
- Tie-break: older candidate placed higher; if same age, alphabetical order of the given name.
- Posts and zones are allotted by merit, post preference, medical standard and vacancy; once empanelled, the right to other posts in the same pay level is forfeited.

- Create an Account at rrbapply.gov.in. Candidates who created an account for RRB CENs of 2024/2025/2026 must reuse the same credentials.
- Authenticate identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar (Verify Aadhaar) before final submission - alternate photo IDs face stricter scrutiny.
- Choose only one RRB and give your post (zone) preferences; the chosen RRB and preferences cannot be changed later.
- Capture a live photo (webcam or phone front camera), upload signature and mandatory documents as per specifications.
- Scribe-eligible candidates furnish scribe details during the application window (scribe must be registered at rrbapply.gov.in).
- Pay the fee online and submit before 23:59 hrs on 06 November 2026 (fee payment till 08.11.2026).
