Negative marking: 1/3 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
Minimum qualifying marks: UR and EWS 40%, OBC (non-creamy layer), SC and ST 30%; may be relaxed by 2 marks for PwBD candidates in case of shortage.
Normalisation: marks are normalised when the CBT is held in multiple shifts.

RRB Group D Physical Test (PET) 2026

PET is qualifying only. Candidates are called for PET at three times the community-wise vacancies, on CBT merit. CCAA, Ex-Servicemen and PwBD candidates are exempted from PET.

RRB Group D Selection Process 2026

Stage 1: CBT (100 marks, normalised across shifts).
Stage 2: PET, qualifying; shortlisting at 3 times the vacancies, railway-wise.
Stage 3: Document Verification and Medical Examination; shortlisting at 1:1 of the vacancies, on CBT merit and PET qualification.
